Who are we?

Passing Hope uses the influence of the beautiful game to educate, motivate, and provide hope to socio-economic and/or physically challenged. To achieve our mission, Passing Hope Canada will continuously improve, innovate and create programs that utilize the global love for football (soccer) to assist communities worldwide, creating hope and providing life lessons to families and children around the globe.

Passing Hope will be working with a dual focus: Globally, Passing Hope Canada will focus on the development of curriculum and programs to facilitate the love of the game and create partnerships that will last a life time. Domestically, Passing Hope will work in conjunctions with multiple organizations to provide children within the area the necessary funds and equipment needed in order to participate in athletics, in this case, specifically soccer.

Our Team

Kaila Raimondo

kaila@passinghope.com

Kaila Raimondo is a 23 year old who has recently completed her Masters of Public Administration and her undergraduate degree in Health and Life Science both at Queen’s University. In university, Kaila was extremely involved with social justice clubs and programs locally and abroad. Wanting to make an impact that would stretch even further, Kaila decided that it was time to take action. In 2015, after travelling to Honduras, Kaila decided to partner up with her sister Lauren to co-found Passing Hope Canada, a charity aiming to provide children with the opportunity to participate in athletics. After seeing the hardships these children were faced with and the way they lit up while playing soccer with only a ball made of used plastic bags, Kaila decided it was time for these children to be provided with the necessary equipment needed to truly experience the joy that is the game of soccer.

Lauren Raimondo

Lauren Raimondo is a 19 year old student currently studying at Harvard University. After a life changing experience with a little boy named Kevo, Lauren decided it was time to make a change, not only for children globally, but locally as well. Having been part of multiple soccer clubs in the past, Lauren understands the importance of athletics in shaping the lives of children around the world. Lauren’s main focus would be to allow children to develop and foster relationships using the game of soccer and the opportunities that the beautiful sport can create. Through the collection of equipment, Lauren hopes to allow children globally and within her own backyard to experience the joy and happiness that that game of soccer has provided her throughout the years.
